My dog had a tumor and originally we went to Dr.Dave just for a second opinion. We had been going to our previous vet for 7+ years, but after the initial visit and seeing how thoroughly Dr.Dave examined my dog, we knew he was the best person to treat our pup and eventually amputate his toe to remove the tumor. He made accommodations to perform the surgery ASAP. On the day of the surgery, his staff promptly followed up with us throughout the day. My dog is petrified of many things and will refuse to go inside somewhere he is not comfortable....we were shocked that after the surgery he happily ran inside the office for his follow up appointment! Dr.Dave quickly got back to us with his biopsy results and has been super helpful with next steps and referring us to an oncologist.

it is scary whenever something is wrong with our fur babies, but the whole team at Chester Animal Hospital has helped to make this tough time be as easy as possible and I could not recommend them more!! We are SO HAPPY we found them.

My three pets (Corgi, Boston Terrier, and Manx cat) all go to Dr. Dave! The corgi is hard to handle, and I only trust Dr. Dave to look over him and administer his vaccines. Everyone is very down to Earth, kind, and well-informed. We have been going there for ~5 years, and I will continue bringing my pets there!

Dr. Dave and his team are awesome. I’ve been taking my golden, Hank, there for 6 years now. While he might not be the biggest fan of going to the vet, there’s nowhere else I’d rather bring him. Great vet, fair pricing. Very kind end of life care for pets. Their boarding is top notch too. Good old fashioned vet. They don't push unnecessary procedures just for $$ they are honest.

Dr. Dave has been the vet for my two dogs, Kai and Soda for the last 2 years and we couldn’t be happier with his care. He’s extremely attentive, never rushes an appointment, and notices things that we don’t, even though we spend every day with our dogs. I’ve never had a vet examine my dogs as thoroughly as Dr. Dave. I can honestly say that I feel 100% confident in his analysis, his treatment and general care for my dogs and their well being. I know he wants them to thrive and live their best lives. Dr. David Migliaccio is an excellent analysist. How can we know what's wrong with a patient who can't speak? Dr. David seems to be able to figure it out. He also cares about the humans, too! I wanted to share that I am super appreciative of the service from Chester Animal Hospital. My dog had a surgery , and two days later her behavior was a bit off and I was worried. The entire team was super helpful and understanding. They took time to check my dog carefully and ensure that there were no further complications. Gladly, nothing was wrong, all was good after monitoring and taking time to go through the past two days to identify if anything would be a factor. Long story short, my main praise is that I appreciate the attention and understanding from everyone there! Great team and great care!!!

I recently visited Chester Animal Hospital with my Staffordshire Terrier, Bella, and was thoroughly impressed by the personalized and professional care we received. Despite its modest exterior, the clinic offers exceptional veterinary services. The staff, including Jeanette at the front desk and Dr. David, the veterinarian, are both knowledgeable and compassionate. Jeanette is particularly helpful, ready to answer any questions and guide clients through their visit.

What sets Chester Animal Hospital apart is its commitment to individualized care. Dr. David’s attentiveness and proactive communication are commendable. Even though I live 30 minutes away in Rockaway and was initially hesitant due to the clinic’s unassuming appearance, the quality of service and care has made me a loyal client. The team managed to accommodate my busy schedule, even reminding me of and conducting a crucial appointment for Bella’s spaying procedure.

Despite its small size, the clinic is well-organized, maintaining meticulous records and managing its workload efficiently. I was particularly touched by their care for Bella, including an overnight stay to fit my late work hours. The team’s ability to diagnose and inform me about Bella’s heart murmur further demonstrated their expertise.

Dr. Dave is the best, and his staff is very friendly and kind. Dr. Dave's father used to visit my grandparents' farm and tend to the animals. We go wayyyy back with the Migliacchio family.

We board our 2 dogs ( lab and German Shaper) and they were well taken care. They look very healthy, they smell super clean, and I believe they trimmed their hair. We were very happy with their services and we most certainly be using their services in the furniture. Thanks for taking care of our furry babies!

Dr. Dave and his team are the best! Dr. Dave is so caring, compassionate and so knowledgeable. He is very thorough in his examinations and spends considerable amount of time to explain the diagnosis. He and his team are top notch!

They performed a Laparoscopic spay surgery on our 2 year old Saint Bernard, Lorelei. Everything went uneventfully, as hoped by Loreleis very apprehensive Dad...ME! She was back to her crazy and living self the very next morning.
Everyone there was very nice, and cared about our beautiful girl.
They are not our usual vet, because we live over an hour away, and our vet doesn't do Laparoscopic surgery, but recommended that we get Lorelei spayed that way.
I recommend Chester Animal Hospital to anyone looking to have this minimally invasive surgery performed on their furry baby.

Very friendly staff and incredibly reliable doctor. Doctor Dave really does go above and beyond for his patients to make sure that he lands on a proper diagnosis and treatment. I know that my pets are in good hands here.

My dog Bailey recently had her well visit and Dr. Dave was fantastic as usual. He was patient and thorough and answered all my questions. You can feel his genuine caring nature and his dedication to making sure my dog is at her best heath. I highly recommend him and the practice.

Dr. Dave and his staff are AMAZING! We used to bring our dog to him before her passing last year. The incredible kindness shown to us made it more comforting. Now we have rescued a Chihuahua and again they are wonderful. Only place we would trust.

We trusted Dr. Dave and his clinic to spay our 3 years old Doberman and it was the best decision we could have made for her. The entire staff is welcoming, and our puppy was treated with great care and professionalism. Her recovery was smoother than we could imagine, including no Elizabethan collar and no need to bring her in for follow ups to remove the stitches. Mia was back off the leash and chasing squirrels in just under 10 days, and now 2 months later the scar is fading away. Thank you Dave and all the rest of the team!!

Without a doubt the best! My husband and I have been taking our dogs to Chester Animal Hospital for about 20 years. We drive from Mt. Arlington to Chester because we know our dogs are in great hands. We have always thought of Dr. Dave as patient, honest and professional. Recently, our beagle was badly injured in our backyard. As her leg was bleeding I called and spoke to Pam. She got Dr. Dave right on the phone and he was able to assess the injury and had us come right in. Her injury required surgery and Dr. Dave took care of it right away (I'm sure this caused him to stay well past official office hours). He then worked with us on boarding her for a few days as we had a planned family vacation. While away we felt comfortable with calling his staff for updates on our Macy. She is home now and doing great! This is just one example of how we feel Chester Animal Hospital goes above and beyond and after 20 years of taking our dogs there, we consider them friends.

We have been seeing Dr Dave for at least 10 years. His patience and expertise are a gift for every animal lover.
Our German Shepards TINO and HONEY were treated and correctly diagnosed, and that paved the way for their long and fruitful life. Although no longer with us our trust remains with Dr Dave and his staff.
We now have our 5 year old Khendira. Steve and myself know that he too will be with us as long as possible. His health care is always closely monitored.

I am posting on behalf of my mother. She always has a good experience bringing all of our family pets here. Recently she had a great experience with both of her dogs even though one of her terriers was very nervous. Both dogs had their nails clipped without a yep! 🙂

I have been using Chester Animal Hospital for years. Everyone there, especially Dr. Dave has been terrific. All our pets, including Dudley the rabbit received efficient compassionate treatment.

My family has used Dr. Mig for years and wouldn't go anywhere else. He and his staff are wonderfully caring and extremely knowledgeable whether yearly exam or serious injury. I always know my pets will be treated with great compassion and care. And they are reasonably priced!

We have brought our Alaskan Malamute, Wheaten Terrier and now our Toy Poodle here for over the course of 30 years. The breath & depth of knowledge over an array of healthcare issues has been extensive and impressive. We have nothing but rave reviews for the quality of service and compassionate care.
The highlight of my experience was when Dr. Migliaccio performed a laparoscopic operation on my toy poodle to spay her. This significantly reduced pain, hemorrhaging, trauma & recovery time. I would highly recommend this procedure especially for anyone who witnessed the traditional operation and its painful, debilitating effects.

Dr. Dave is a wonderful caring vet. Takes time with each animal and so glad I found him for my 4 Border Collies. Staff is very helpful also.

This is a very caring staff and Dr. Dave is more knowledgeable than other vets I have tried. Particularly if you have a pet that is ill, he is the doctor you want to consult with. He is very thorough, clear in providing options and what the cost may be, and there is great follow up. I can say without reservation that this is the best practice in the area.

Dr. Dave always gives thorough exams and spends ample time answering questions. My 13 year old newly diabetic cat received great care and is now insulin free.

After our long time vet from Long Valley passed away, we struggled to find another small town vet. One of our friends then mentioned Chester Animal Hospital and thought we should give him a try. A few years later we are still taking our pets here and have found the Dr and staff to be very friendly and caring. Our pets are happy too !

We've been going to Dr. Dave and his staff for 20+ years and couldn't be happier. We've had many rescued cats and dogs, and Dr. Dave has proven his diagnostic skills time and again. We love the small town home town doctor feel and the attention that we get. Dr. Dave is an asset to our community.

One of our beloved cats was diabetic. He lived for 18+ years, 10 of those years as a diabetic who needed insulin twice a day. Dr. Dave was able to suggest the proper diet, show us how to monitor his blood sugar ourselves at home, and give him the proper amount of insulin. We were able to help the cat recover from a serious case of diabetic neuropathy. The cat lived a long and healthy life and we owe it to Dr. Dave and the Chester Animal Hospital staff. If we had caught the diabetes earlier, there would have been a good chance he could have been cured of it all together. Amazing. When it was time to let our beloved cat go, the staff was compassionate and caring. Dr. Dave explained exactly how everything would go and was patient and caring during our grieving.

Lastly, no one likes to see those huge bills when they take their pet to the doctor. Dr. Dave has always kept his prices reasonable, and I think that might be attributed to the low overhead that he has. There aren't a lot of bells and whistles, just a humble family veterinarian and his animal loving staff.

We consider ourselves lucky that we've found Dr. Dave and for the care and compassion our pets received.

Love Dr. Migliaccio and his staff. Been with them for over 15 years and two great dogs. Both my dogs have had auto immune disorders that were difficult to diagnose and treat, but Dr. M was able to figure out what was wrong and treat them so they lived comfortable lives.

Ive been bringing my Newfoundland dogs here for over 20 years. Love the office and the staff. Dr. Dave is the best. It's not the most convenient veterinarian for me but it is most certainly worth the drive for a competent, caring and professional atmosphere.

Dr. Dave and team have been providing outstanding care for our dogs for over 20 years. Sugar was in for a health certificate this week. Heading to North Dakota for our annual hunting trip next week.

Dr. Dave is a phenomenal- caring, focused and so responsive. Your animal will not only br treated with kindness and respect but his diagnostic abilities are A+.We have had our dogs treated for cancer, orthopedic issues and general care. He refers out to great specialist when needed so you know your dogs are in good hands. The vets at Cornell praised his medical skills and told me that he was excellent when I brought one of my dogs to them after Dr. Dave suggested she see a specialist.
