Our Veterinary Assistants and Receptionists

Our Team
Daniel Faecher became a member of our family when he was still in high school, back in 2000 as our evening kennel attendant. He eventually moved on to work at Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter where he was instrumental in ensuring pets were healthy by giving medication, vaccinations, and drawing blood for specific tests. He made sure the pets were ready for adoption. Upon returning to Chester Animal Hospital, he has taken great pleasure in being our veterinary assistant. Dan’s current responsibilities include anaesthesia administrator, monitoring dental prophylaxis’s, intra operative surgical assistant, and camera man for laparascopic surgery. He assists and works in all other areas of the animal hospital. He is not only educated in the veterinary field, but is currently working on a degree in history. He continues his love of animals by owning his own business, Dan the Man’s Pet Sitting, which he developed to provide competent and reliable care to pets in the surrounding area. Dan is also a dog rescuer. He rescued one of our own, a Chester stray, which he named Charlie and had for nine years. He currently has two dogs, Jewel who is a Great Dane and Trixie, a Cocker Spaniel. He also has a cockatiel appropriately named Crash.

Jeanette Sliker has been with our family since 1986, when she began as our kennel attendant. All of our boarders get so excited when they see her in the morning. Jeanette not only works in the kennel, but you can find her just about anywhere in the hospital from answering the phone to assisting with surgeries in the operating room . She not only has a long history with us, but also in this area. Her family settled in the Long Valley area in the 1730’s! Jeanette was born in Somerville and moved to Lebanon Township shortly after and has lived there ever since. She loves to study local history along with collect old postcards, letterheads and other memorabilia associated with Hunterdon, Warren and Morris County. She enjoys counted cross stitch, crocheting, and reading. She is also a member of the Grange, since 1969, which was founded in 1867, and is president of Mt. Lebanon Grange. She is a member pf the Hunterdon County, NJ State and National Granges. She was also a member of the Hunterdon County Republican Committee and the Lebanon Township Recreation Committee. Pam Fridkis was born in New York City and raised in Mamarmeck, NY., a suburb of Westchester county. In 1977 she moved here from Connecticut where she became a client of Chester Animal Hospital and Dr. Nicholas Milgiaccio (Dr. Dave’s father) was her vet. She has remained with our family ever since. In 2001 she was hired and is now our full time receptionist. She has a menagerie of her own. Not only is she happily married, she has six cats, all of which have “special needs.” Pam is an accomplished cook and baker and teaches knitting in NYC. When she can fit it in her busy schedule, Pam enjoys visiting her best friend in Cape Cod, Mass.

Cathy Kiska, being our “newest” receptionist jumped on board in 2008. You may meet her when you bring your pet for boarding visits, or a.m. appointments, as mornings are Cathy’s specialty! She has lived in New Jersey her whole life and grew up in Warren Township. She lives with her furry friends, Jake, a Shetland Sheep Dog, and her two cats, Rocket and Marley. Cathy has two sons, one of which is in the U.S. Army. On her time off, you can find her gardening or cooking. She also enjoys working out, going to the beach, playing the guitar and loves music.

Eileen Resauit joined our family in 1989. She is one of our receptionists and will greet you during evening appointments and weekends.
